2 Corinthians 4:16-17 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

A Journey of Prayer for my Children

Day 2 Kindness... is having a sensitive spirit toward others.
Proverbs 14:21
He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who is kind to the needy.
Father; as they see those around him need (physical, emotional, or spiritual need), may their hearts be touched.
Give them a desire to help others.
May they realize that it is a sin to hate his neighbor; but being kind to those in need will bring happiness.
Acts 20:35
... remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'
Lord Jesus, may they recognize the value of being kind.
I pray that they will experience the blessing that comes with giving.
Proverbs 15:1
A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Gentle Father; cause them to learn to respond to the anger of another with a gentle answer.
Open the eyes of both to see that the gentleness and kindness of speech can do far more than an unkind word to stop another person's anger.
Lord I pray that I will speak kindly.
Help me to set these actions into my own life.
I am humbled at this moment with how inadequate I am as a fallen woman.
Redeem my failing dear Lord.
This prayer time is from While they were Sleeping by Anne Harkins and Gary Harrell

How Many Kings.... artist (Downhere)
Follow the star to a place unexpected
Would you believe after all we’ve projected
A child in a manger
Lowly and small, the weakest of all
Unlikeliest hero, wrapped in his mothers shawl
Just a child
Is this who we’ve waited for?
Cause how many kings, stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?
How many gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that has torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?
Bringing our gifts for the newborn savior
All that we have whether costly or meek
Because we believe
Gold for his honor and frankincense for his pleasure
And myrrh for the cross he’ll suffer
Do you believe, is this who we’ve waited for?
(It’s who we’ve waited for)
How many kings, stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?
How many Gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that has torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?
Only one did that for me
All for me
All for you
All for me
All for you
