A Journey of Prayer for My Children

Day 3 Kindness is... treating others they way we would like to be treated.

Leviticus 19:33-34
33 " 'When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat him.
34 The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born.
Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt.
I am the LORD your God.

Loving Father; as they come in contact with new people in their lives, may they treat these people as they would a friend.
Help them to love, accept, and show compassion for the people they encounter.

Luke 6:31
31Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Lord, develop in them a willingness to do for others what they would like others to do for them.

Lord, I see unkindness (an ugliness) in my own actions when things aren't going my way because of my self-discipline, the children's behavior, or Mark's responses.

Matthew 25:35-36
35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you invited me in,
36I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was sick and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

Lord Jesus, I pray that they will learn to look at the needs of others with mercy and tenderness.
Encourage them to become a lifeline to those around them who need a meal or even a drink of water; those who may need a friend or even a smile.

This pray time is taken from While they were Sleeping by Anne Arkins and Gary Harrell
