A Journey of Prayer for My Children

Day 4 Kindness... is controlling our negative thoughts toward others.

Ephesians 4:31-32
31Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Loving, gracious Father; help them resolve their conflicts instead of harboring bitterness or anger in their hearts.
May they never shout angrily or say things to hurt others.
I pray that they will not do evil things but will be kind and loving.
Give them the desire to forgive just as You have forgiven them in Christ.

Genesis 50:19-21
19 But Joseph said to them, "Don't be afraid. Am I in the place of God?
20 You intended to harm me,
but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done,
the saving of many lives.
21 So then, don't be afraid. I will provide for you and your children."
And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them.

Father, I pray that they may become sensitive to Your control of the events and people in their lives.
Show them like Joseph, how to handle the negative thoughts they have toward others, especially those people who have caused them pain or offended them.

Help us, Lord, to resolve our conflicts and to know how to handle negative thoughts.

This prayer time comes from While they were Sleeping by Anne Arkins and Gary Harrell
