Day 3 Humility... puts our children in a position to receive the refreshing grace of God.
Isaiah 57:15
15 For this is what the high and lofty One says—
he who lives forever, whose name is holy:
"I live in a high and holy place,
but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly
and to revive the heart of the contrite.
Lord God, You alone are the high and lofty One.
Give them a humble attitude before You.
May they have a repentant spirit and
be receptive to Your Spirit dwelling in them.
James 4:6b, 10
6 "God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble."
10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
Father; You are the one who exalts Your children.
I ask that You would lift them up as they humble themselves before You.
Give them eyes to see the destructiveness of pride,
and may they learn that humbly yielding to Your Lordship
allows them to receive Your power.
