A Journey of Prayer for my Children

Day 5 Humility-
Pride leads to an incorrect estimation of oneself in relation to others.

2 Corinthians 10:12
12We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.

Father, though You are exalted, You regard the lowly.
I humbly pray that they would be one of those who correctly evaluates himself.
Keep them from falling into the trap of comparing themselves with others.

Galatians 6:3
3For if any person thinks himself to be somebody [too important to condescend to shoulder another's load] when he is nobody [of superiority except in his own estimation], he deceives and deludes and cheats himself.

Lord God, I ask that You might take away from them any arrogant attitude of superiority.
I pray that they would not believe the lie, "I have to be 'somebody' to be important."
Entrust them with a spirit of humility that is willing to meet another's need.
